Patients with UTIs typically show symptoms and signs of the condition. Depending on the severity of the infection, it's good to know about potential signs of urinary tract infections, so you can be aware of any inconsistencies. The following are the most common symptoms:
- Painful and burning urination
- Small amounts of urine passed
- Cloudy or milky colored urine - brownish or reddish if there's blood in the urine
- Overall tired feeling, sometimes shaky
- Frequent urge to urinate
- Nausea
- Fever - only if infection has reached the kidneys
If a UTI progresses to the kidneys, more serious symptoms like fever, mental changes, nausea and other symptoms may occur. If you are experiencing any of the above symptoms, contact your doctor immediately.
